PhonePick

For clinics and practices

An answering service for clinics, so the phone stops ringing out

One person on reception, three lines, and a waiting room in front of them. The phone rings out, and the patient who could not get through turns up at a walk-in instead.

Live in about ten minutes. From $29 a month. No contract, no setup fee, cancel any time.

The number that matters

A clinic phone that rings out does not lose a sale — it sends a patient somewhere else and generates a complaint you hear about later.

You can check that against your own week. Below is the same sum with your figures in it.

What it's costing you

Do the sum on your own numbers

Set to a typical job for this trade. Change it to whatever is true for you.

Nothing is sent anywhere — the sum happens in your browser. It assumes PhonePick reaches every missed caller, and that they convert like the ones you already speak to. Whether that holds is your call, not ours.

Get your number

What it does

Three things, on every call

It takes the overflow

It answers when reception is on another line, at lunch, or closed.

It books and reschedules

Into the slots you set, and cancellations free the time up again.

Every call written down

So you can see what people are actually ringing about.

Being straight with you

What it will not do on a patient call

It books, reschedules, gives hours and directions, and takes a name and number for a callback. It does not triage, advise, discuss symptoms or touch anything clinical, and it never tells a caller whether to be worried. Calls are recorded and transcribed on our systems. PhonePick is not offered as a HIPAA- or PHIPA-compliant service and we do not sign a Business Associate Agreement, so it must not be used to collect patient health information. If a caller needs urgent help the correct answer is the one your own recording gives, and you should keep that recording.

Before you ask

Clinics and practices ask these three

Does it triage?

No. It never assesses a symptom or tells a caller how worried to be. It books, reschedules, answers hours and directions, and takes a callback request.

Is it HIPAA or PHIPA compliant?

No. We do not sign a Business Associate Agreement and calls are recorded and transcribed on our systems, so it must not be used to collect patient health information.

What happens on an urgent call?

It reads out exactly the instruction you wrote, word for word. Keep your own emergency recording — this does not replace it.

The next one rings whether you're ready or not

Ten minutes to set up. You keep your number, and you can undo the whole thing with one dialled code.
