Features · The front desk
Most calls are a booking or a message. Some are not. PhonePick works out which, and the ones that cannot wait reach a person — you, or whoever is on call that night.
Putting a call through: every plan. The on-call rota: Operations and Growth. PhonePick starts at $75 a month. No contract, no setup fee.
What it does
When a caller needs a person now, it puts them through to the number you chose for urgent calls. On every plan.
Set an on-call rota and an urgent call rings the person on shift, not always you. Shifts can run overnight, and the order you list them in is the order they are tried.
When nobody is on shift, it does what you chose: take a message, or ring your usual number anyway. Taking a message is the default.
If a caller describes a gas smell, a carbon monoxide alarm, a fire, sparking or water near electrics, or someone hurt, its first answer is to get out and call 911 from outside. It does not book or take details first. A leak on its own is urgent work for you, not a 911 call.
Setting it up
Being straight with you
It is not an emergency service or a dispatcher, and for a clinic it never triages symptoms: it is the front desk, not the chart. It never decides on its own that a dangerous situation is fine to book.
Before you ask
Yes. Add a shift for each person, with their days and hours. An overnight shift covers the early hours of the next day too, and the first shift that matches is the one rung.
Yes. Each extra number can have its own number for urgent calls, as well as its own greeting and opening hours.
Putting a call through to your mobile is on every plan. The on-call rota is on Operations and Growth.
Call (249) 496-5966 and PhonePick answers its own phone, or walk round the real app on a sample business. Ten minutes to set up, and you keep your number.
