Not connected yet. Square can give PhonePick your menu, your stock and a pay link — but not a ticket your staff can see before it is paid for, which is the part a phone order needs.
Not available. · PhonePick starts at $75 a month. No contract, no setup fee.
What it does
Square has the cleanest catalogue API of any till we looked at, real per-location stock with a sold-out flag, and payment links short enough to text. Three of the four things PhonePick wants, and they are the easy three.
The fourth is the problem. Square's own documentation says an order with fulfillments appears on Square products only after it has been paid for. A phoned-in, pay-at-pickup order would therefore be invisible to the people making it — so we are not going to ship a Square connection and call it phone orders.
Status
Being straight with you
It will not put a ticket in front of your staff for an unpaid order, and no amount of work on our side changes that — it is how Square's order object behaves. If printing a phoned-in order is what you need, Clover is the one being built.
Where these claims come from
Every capability named above is from the vendor's own published documentation, so you can check it rather than take our word: Square Catalog API · Order fulfillments · Sold-out status.
Point of sale
Being built now: PhonePick reads your Clover item list so it quotes real prices, and pushes a phoned-in order to your Clover devices so it prints in the kitchen.
How it works →Lightspeed RestaurantNot connectedNot connected yet, and the strongest fit after Clover: Lightspeed's K-Series takes third-party orders directly, with modifiers, and it is Canadian.
How it works →Shopify POSNot connectedNot connected yet. The tidiest API of the lot, and the right one to do next if you sell things rather than cook them.
How it works →ToastNot connectedNot connected. Toast can do everything needed — but getting production access is an eight-stage partner process, so it is not next.
How it works →Tell us which one and what you would do with it. That is genuinely how the order gets decided — there is no roadmap vote more useful than a business saying it would switch for it.
