What it does
PhonePick uses Stripe Connect, and the distinction matters: the customer pays your Stripe account directly, the receipt carries your name, and PhonePick never holds your money. Disconnecting is one button and takes the ability to charge with it.
Two places it gets used. On a call, where the receptionist can ask for a deposit before it books a visit — with the rules you set, and never a card number read out over the phone, only a link. And on an overdue invoice, where the reminder text carries a pay link, and paying it marks the invoice paid without you touching anything.

Being straight with you
PhonePick never takes a card number on the phone — a caller who tries to read one out is sent a link instead. It is not a till: there is no item catalogue, no tax table beyond the province or state you pick, and no refunds from inside PhonePick (do those in Stripe). Stripe Terminal card readers are not supported, and “Stripe POS” is hardware rather than a till with a menu in it, so there is nothing there for PhonePick to read.
